ESTADÍSTICAS
COMPARATIVAS |
2000 |
Comparing the statistics of the
two countries most similar in Territory, GNP
y Population, Cuba y Guatemala, we see that one registers levels much higher in
certain measures of social well-being than the other. We see that
the countries with higher density of population (e.g. El Salvador) are not necessarily the poorest. We see that the
countries with most gross wealth do not necessarily have the
wealthiest population per capita. These comparisons show that the
cause of Poverty in the midst of Progress cannot
be explained by a Lack of Capital (Wealth), nor
by an Excess of Population, but rather indicate
that the cause is to be found in the laws that determine the Distribution
of Wealth.
